Our Vision of History at Brownhills West

We believe, at Brownhills West, that high-quality History lessons inspire children to want to know more about the past and to think and act like historians. By linking learning to a range of themes, a whole new world begins to open up for our pupils. By providing the opportunity to investigate and interpret the past, understand chronology, build an overview of Britain’s past, as well as that of the wider world, our pupils will begin to communicate historically. We are committed into widening our pupils’ experiences outside of Brownhills, as well as developing a real sense of how our own history has contributed to our own identities and community.
